Abstract:
The growing pressure on logistics service providers (LSPs) to achieve strong sustainability performance highlights the importance of aligning their practices with technological tools to support such endeavour. Given the significant effort required to implement sustainability measures in companies, it is crucial to focus on implementing these tools and practices effectively and efficiently. In response to this challenge, a decision support system (DSS) has been developed to evaluate the alignment between sustainability practices and supporting technologies. This system employs fuzzy logic to assess consistency and identify potential areas of improvement. The DSS developed has strong practical utility, offering managers not only insights into the current state of their sustainability initiatives but also strategic recommendations to enhance overall performance. By adopting this system, LSPs can more effectively navigate the complexities of sustainability while improving operational efficiency and long‐term environmental impact.
