Abstract: Assessing the increasing need for environmental management in the hospitality sector, the current research examines the association of green human resource management (GHRM) with employees' green behavior within and outside the organization as an effective corporate social responsibility (CSR) intervention. The study further investigates the mediating role of individual and collective green creativity in this relationship between GHRM and employees' green behavior. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM) was used to test the proposed hypotheses based on responses from 289 UK and US‐based hotel employees. Findings indicate a positive influence of GHRM practices on employees' green behaviors inside and outside the organization by inspiring individual green creativity in CSR strategies. However, although a positive influence of GHRM on collective green creativity has been found, a subsequent effect on green behaviors outside the organization could not be empirically substantiated. Our study provides useful insights for hospitality organizations to enhance corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
