The Post‐2015 Moment: Towards Sustainable Development Goals and a New Global Development Paradigm

Charles Gore and Charles Gore

Journal of International Development, 2015, vol. 27, issue 6, 717-732

Abstract: The post‐2015 moment is a moment in time in which multiple efforts are being made to envision a better long‐term future for humanity and to forge, post‐2015, a new and different global development trajectory. There is a need for not only new global goals but also a new global development paradigm. The papers in this special issue assess the Sustainable Development Goals in the making and offer constructive suggestions to further a paradigm shift that would bring the post‐2015 development agenda to life in a transformative way rather than sustain business as usual.
