Abstract: Let ℳ and 𝒩 be von Neumann algebras without central summands of type I1. Assume that ξ ∈ ℂ with ξ ≠ 1. In this paper, all maps Φ : ℳ → 𝒩 satisfying Φ(AB − ξBA) = Φ(A)Φ(B) − ξΦ(B)Φ(A) are characterized.
