Abstract: We discuss the following problem: when aP + bQ + cPQ + dQP + ePQP + fQPQ + gPQPQ of idempotent matrices P and Q, where a, b, c, d, e, f, g ∈ ℂ and a ≠ 0, b ≠ 0, is group involutory.
