Small Gold Mines — The Production and Declaration Problem: Another Dilemma for a Small Developing Country

Abstract:
The under‐reporting of gold production in small developing countries denies these countries an important source of foreign exchange. This paper examines the problem in a Guyanese context, and suggests a series of measures to deal with the problem.
