Abstract:
SOJUZKARTA is the official Soviet foreign trade association that sells geodesy and cartography services to international markets. The organization inter alia provides remote sensing photographs, undertakes natural resource cadastresurveys, provides remote sensing for the exploration for oil, gas, ore and other natural deposits, provides consultancy and training services and prepares topographic maps. Many of these services are provided to developing countries and this paper gives several examples of the use of its services by such countries.
