A simple rule for the cwsolidation of allowance lists

Abstract: The problem of consolidating certain sections of the allowance list is stated and discussed. A practical consolidation rule is proposed and illustrated by numerical examples. The validity of this consolidation rule is established for normally distributed demands, and its general usefulness is outlined.
