Some principles for a data‐processing system in logistics

Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, 1958, vol. 5, issue 2, 95-105
Abstract:
Some of the principles and concepts of a revised logistics data‐processing system, proposed for the Air Force and developed at RAND, are discussed. These ideas provide a general framework in which a data‐processing system might be developed that would be able to meet the operational needs of the 1960's. The ideas developed in this paper, although pointed particularly at the Air Force, might have relevance and use for the other military services and for industry in general.
