Abstract: Motivated by the notion that collaboration is essential to achieving sustainable development, this research explores the impact of the Brazil‐based Amazon Fund Collaborative Platform in boosting sustainable production across multiple forest and agroforestry initiatives in the Amazon region. Collaborative platforms represent a relatively new concept, amounting to governance structures that facilitate the creation, adaptation, and success of multiple ongoing collaborative projects or networks. Utilizing data sourced from the Brazilian Amazon spanning from 2003 to 2017, we employ a difference‐in‐differences with multiple time periods estimation to understand the effects of the Amazon Fund Collaborative Platform on the production of forest and agroforestry goods. Our results, which show that collaborative platforms are associated with significantly higher production, enjoin policymakers to adopt platforms in promoting sustainable development.
