Abstract:
A revision of the model of consumer behaviour based on the theory of reasoned action is described with a view to explaining consumer behaviour with respect to the environment and its connection with the ecological concern of individuals. A structural equation model is proposed and is verified empirically with respect to a hypothetical recycling project in the Spanish market. An earlier version of this paper was presented by Dr Aragón-Correa at the Third Conference of the Nordic Business Environmental Management Network developed by The Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus, Denmark, March 1996. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. and ERP Environment Sustainable Development, Vol. 5, 43-49 (1997)
