Li Keqiang’s Economic Agenda

Abstract: Sustaining modest growth while promoting reforms and further opening tops Li Keqiang’s agenda for 2015. Having gained confidence from the experience of 2014, the government aims to employ more flexible and targeted policy instruments in macroeconomic management. Modifying growth targets downwards, the Li government also aims to push forward reforms in several areas, including administrative streamlining, deregulation and liberalisation of investment financing, and fiscal and taxation reforms.
