Bo Chen, Hui Chen, Qingjun Cheng and Yao Li

East Asian Policy (EAP), 2023, vol. 15, issue 03, 49-81

Abstract: This article analyses China’s fast developing digital economy and its strategies for bolstering six key technologies: 5G (and 6G), cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality. It explores how these digital technologies are reshaping the traditional industries and expanding the digital industrials. Besides infrastructure development, future China-ASEAN cooperation could give priorities to cooperations in some specific fields between China and some ASEAN developing countries.
