Abstract: This work is dedicated to investigating the fractional perturbed Schrödinger equation with M-truncated derivative, which appears in the fields of plasma physics and optical fiber communication. A variety of new optical soliton solutions and periodic solutions are obtained by adopting two excellent mathematical schemes, namely, the fractional unified method and the extended fractional (e−𠜃(ξ))-expansion method. The dynamic characteristics of these new optical soliton solutions are described by providing corresponding 2D and 3D graphs.
