Abstract: The importance of entrepreneurship is now recognized worldwide. This has been reflected in the proliferation of different programs and other related activities aimed at fostering entrepreneurship education and development all over the world during the last two decades. This paper briefly reviews such developments, including those in Bahrain, and suggests that increased efforts are needed to help initiate and launch an effective entrepreneurship development program in the country.
