Abstract:
The increase in interest in representing business processes using workflow models necessitates considering means to improving workflow modeling process. This can be achieved through several different approaches; including improvement in the representation itself, better uncertainty handling, reactive as well as proactive means to handle dynamic changes in the workflow environment, among others. We present a method to validate workflow sequences using inductively constructed knowledge-base, and illustrate the proposed method using an example from the medical domain.
