Abstract: This study investigated factors influencing knowledge sharing behaviour of police officers in the Nigerian Police Force. A modified Theory of Reasoned Action was adopted in which extrinsic and intrinsic motivation contexts were considered as well as trust, leadership and information technology. Using the descriptive survey design, data were collected from 134 police officers at Oyo State Police Headquarters, Ibadan. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Data were analysed using frequency and percentage distribution and correlation. Findings revealed that all the variables did not have a significant association with knowledge sharing attitude. Also, attitude did not significantly influence police officers’ intentions to share knowledge. Of the four motivational factors, rewards, reciprocal benefits and enjoyment in helping others were significantly associated with knowledge sharing intentions. Leadership and trust were also shown to significantly influence police officers’ intentions to share knowledge.
