Abstract: In this brief overview we address, with specific reference to the systemsH2andD2on Cu(111), Cu(100), and Cu(110), several matters concerning the sticking of light particles in a physisorption well. These are considered in relation to observations from molecular beam scattering experiments and theoretical model calculations.
