Abstract:
We discuss the size dependency of the optical response of Li, Na, and K clusters. The effects of the ionic structure and of the pseudopotential describing the electron–ion interaction are considered. The pseudopotential effect is found to be quite significant, especially in its nonlocal formulation important for Li clusters.
