Abstract: The possibility is shown of developing a new method based on the surface photo-charge effect (SPCE) to study liquids, gases and vapors. The main idea is that, due to the strong susceptibility of this effect to the state of the irradiated interface, each change in the liquid- or gas-contacting surfaces would cause changes in the observed signals. The experiments performed so far support such a possibility.
