Operations Research and Decisions, 2003, vol. 13, issue 1, 19-30

Abstract: In the paper, a quantity model of the life quality identification method is introduced taking into account selected factors describing the quality of life. It is a new method for statistical determination of a life quality model as an unknown aggregate variable. In this method, the following statistical material is indispensable: collected from measurements of all factors describing life quality and out-of-statistics information containing the data on stimulative or non-stimulative influence of particular factors on the quality of life. The model application is illustrated by describing the quality of Polish people in 2001 considering selected goods their households are equipped with and comparing it with the synthetic self-estimation of Polish people.
