Abstract: SUMMARYWe study the contribution of human capital to the development of entrepreneurship in Ecuador, through case studies and statistical analysis of the development of entrepreneurships in the country. In this sense, the characteristics, profiles, performance and educational levels of entrepreneurs in Ecuador are analyzed. Onthe other hand, it highlights the life experiences of entrepreneurs emerging and existing in the country; these life experiences were raised with in-depth interviews in three economic sectors: food, technology and manufactures. It was observed that the contribution of human capital to the development of entrepreneurship is vital from two angles: the first, the preparation and education of entrepreneurs at all levels of education; And, second, government support for the development of youth enterprises, where it is necessary to apply policies and guidelines for productive development and promotion of professional development.
