Abstract:
The main objective of this article is to highlight the characteristics that Ecuadorian women to be hired in 2018and 2020, this because, a crisis such as COVID-19 can trigger social and economic changes in the structure of a country, generally, increasing existing historical inequalities. A linearprobability model (GLM) is used, with variables obtained from the National Survey of Employment, Unemploymentand Underemployment (ENEMDU) at the level of people, forthe years of study. The findings reveal that female labor forcé participation remains unbalanced by household responsibilitiesand social prejudices. Despite the fact that, in recent decades this situation has been mitigating, COVID-19 has broken this progress.
