Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to see the price volatility of Ecuadorian broccoli with the U.S. market during a monthly period of time from 2013 -2019. A quantitative methodology was used with an econometric analysis with their respective Arch/Garch tests or causal tests to check the degree of integration between markets, it was demonstrated that there is no bidirectional or unidirectional relationship between these markets, broccoli prices in the U.S. markets do not cause significant effect on the prices of the Ecuadorian broccoli sector and neither do prices from Ecuador to the United States.
