Abstract:
In a world where productive globalization prevails, nations must be immersed in the international economy, with foreign direct investment being an important element that contributes to Ecuadorian agricultural growth, a sector that before depending on oil revenues allowed Ecuador to integrate into the world economy through the cocoa and banana boom and currently with other products due to the great wealth of nature that Ecuador has to offer to the world. The research objective was to analyze the incidence of sales, profits, investment in inventories, investment in tangible fixed assets and investment in intangibles in relation to foreign direct investment in agricultural firms holding FDI in the province of Guayas period 2016-2020. The methodology was quantitative, with correlational scope, cross-sectional andnon-experimental;the statistical analysis of the Pearson correlation was applied to the financial data of a sample with 176 companies. The results showed that among the financial variables related to FDI there is a significant positive impact.
