Abstract: Seit dem ersten Maiwochenende stehen die Teilnehmerländer für den Beginn der Währungsunion fest: Beteiligt sind die elf Länder, die die Europäische Kommission empfohlen hatte. Werden ihre Wechselkurse in der Interimsphase bis zum Start am 1.1.1999 stabil bleiben? Welches gemeinsame Zinsniveau ist für das Währungsgebiet anzustreben?
