Abstract: Die Beschäftigung im Dienstleistungssektor ist in den USA schon über einen langen Zeitraum rascher gewachsen als in Deutschland. Gibt es historische Gründe für diese unterschiedliche Entwicklung? Fehlt in Deutschland ein „Billiglohn- Dienstleistungssektor" oder ist die Dienstleistungslücke anders zu begründen?
