Abstract: There are numerous methods for numerically solving a fifth-order ordinary differential equation. We show in this paper that the Bessel matrix polynomials method is a powerful tool for numerically solving this equation. Our method is tested on examples, and it is compared to other methods. It is demonstrated that the Bessel matrix polynomials method produces good results.
