Abstract:
The annual CERGE-EI economic survey of the Czech Republic provides an overview of the country's recent economic and political developments, as well as its major institutions, business environment, taxes, and other public policies. It also contains a host of data on the Czech Republic and other countries. In the 2005 edition, special attention is paid to the immediate effects of the EU entry, and to the human capital composition of the Czech labor force. The survey, edited by Dr. Libor Dusek and Prof. Kresimir Zigic, was authored by a number of CERGE-EI faculty and junior researchers.
