THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE NETHERLANDS SINCE 1870

Edited by Jan Luiten van Zanden

in Books from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: The articles in this volume give a balanced picture of the main debates of Dutch economic history after 1870: the slow industrialization in the nineteenth century, the protracted character of the depression of the 1930s; the ‘Dutch miracle’ of 1950 to 1973 and the ‘Dutch disease’ of the 1970s and 1980s. Some eminent contributions to these debates have been translated here in to English for the first time.
