Chapter 4 in The Geography of Academic Entrepreneurship, 2023, pp 57-72 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Institutional structures and the link to the academic spin-offs process is the focus of Chapter 4. In particular, it considers two organisational features of universities which exist to support spin-off formation and growth. These are technology transfer offices and university incubators. The chapter also explores evidence of regional outcomes of these support activities.
