Complexity theory
.
Chapter 4 in Evolutionary Spatial Economics, 2020, pp 17-19 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Complexity theory deals with recursive and cumulative actions by heterogeneous actors in open, but densely connected networks. Even though these systems are far from equilibrium, they have dynamic and certain self-organising properties.
