Introduction to Part III
.
Chapter 10 in Strategic Community Partnerships, Philanthropy, and Nongovernmental Organization, 2021, pp 71-71 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Trust for London (TfL), together with the Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG), and the City Bridge Trust, launched the first phase of the initiative entitled Moving on Up focusing specifically on the disparity between young Black men and the rest of London's workforce in regard to employment rates. This model involves bringing together particular local stakeholders to agree and implement an action plan, and coordinate activities to improve employment outcomes for young Black men in two boroughs: Brent and Newham. This chapter introduces the initiative's mechanisms of collaboration, main collaborators, nonprofit partners, and its impacts.
