Chapter 12 in Strategic Community Partnerships, Philanthropy, and Nongovernmental Organization, 2021, pp 82-91 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The Metropolitan Partnerships are advisory groups established by the Victorian Government in 2017. This approach is a coordinated way for metropolitan communities to advise government on local issues and opportunities in their region. These partnerships provide a pathway for local communities to engage directly with state and local governments, and to provide input to the Victorian Government regarding priorities for jobs, services and infrastructure across the region. The partnership's background, strategies, mechanism, and responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic are introduced in this chapter.
