Central Corridor Anchor Partnership
.
Chapter 8 in Strategic Community Partnerships, Philanthropy, and Nongovernmental Organization, 2021, pp 52-58 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Rebuilding El Salado is a peace-building partnership between armed conflict victims from El Salado, Semana Foundation (SF), and other stakeholders that aim to overcome tragic consequences in this rural territory. The project was unique of its kind and so successful that it was then replicated in other areas affected by the armed conflict in Colombia. This chapter introduces the project's communitarian governance model, its initiatives in culture, education, economic development, infrastructure, health and nutrition, security and sports. Other projects performed by SF and challenges and lessons are summarized at the end of this chapter.
