Abstract:
This chapter analyses the role of the Auditor General in preventing corruption and money laundering by PEPs. It explores the constitutional safeguards protecting the independence of the office-holder and the role played by civil society organisations in supporting the work of the Auditor General, including the use of constitutional provisions to challenge attempts to interfere with the independence of the office-holder
