Chapter 13 in The Political Economy of Iraq, 2021, pp 256-272 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Iraq's exports are dominated by one product, oil, but its imports are extremely diverse. Despite the potential for historical and geographic tourism, most tourists are religious persons visiting sites important to Shi'a. The December 2020 devaluation is expected to have a large impact on international trade and finance.
