Reinvigorating public governance studies

.

Chapter 13 in Rethinking Public Governance, 2023, pp 226-233 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: This concluding chapter aims to assess the transformations of public governance in a more holistic perspective and to discuss how the new and old forms of public governance can be combined in the real world. The chapter also raises the question of whether public governance and administration research are geared toward the analysis of the new and emerging trends that are part of the practical rethinking and redesign of governance that is currently unfolding. Finally, it sets out a research agenda for further studies of the changing forms of public governance.
