Abstract: Pension challenges create an interaction between economy, (social) policy and law. This remains a fascinating engine for framing and understanding both national and European developments. Essentially, the European level tries to redefine the various national challenges jointly and then it is up to the Member States to meet these challenges in a - for the European level - comprehensive approach.
