Chapter 62 in Elgar Encyclopedia on the Economics of Knowledge and Innovation, 2022, pp 496-505 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
In this chapter, we propose to add to the literature on a knowledge-based approach to the firm by considering the firm as a processor of ideas. Such a perspective brings forward some key dynamic elements and entrepreneurial dimensions of the theory of the firm and calls for reconsidering the different characteristics of the theory of the firm (internal organization, growth of the firm, frontiers of the firm, etc.).
