Conclusions on effective global carbon markets
.
Chapter 10 in Effective Global Carbon Markets, 2020, pp 225-232 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The chapter reviews the analysis of the preceding chapters and sets out conclusions reached, being that a market designed along the lines proposed as a mechanism for implementing greenhouse gas mitigation policy allows pursuit of climate policy objectives, giving effect to elements of Article 6, Paris Agreement. At the same time, it facilitates proper and efficient operation of the market by introducing appropriate elements of financial regulation, while being responsive to technological developments.
