Abstract: This chapter focuses on the downstream (i.e., logistics and physical distribution) aspects of global supply chain management. Various logistical issues- including modes of transportation, various forms of logistical development and the effects of information technology- are discussed. Furthermore, the marketing aspects of physical distribution and international channel management are addressed as the last leg of global supply chain management.
