Abstract: My name is Mahmoud Murad and I am a scholar/activist from a refugee background with a disability. I am sharing my story of learning about human rights, navigating my disability support needs in different contexts, and advocating for others with disability to explain how I draw on my personal story and work and community experiences to achieve justice, equality and dignity for my community, the Syrian community.
