The pros and cons
.
Chapter 2 in The Social and Legal Impact of Autonomous Vehicles, 2025, pp 17-28 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Chapter 2 discuss human driving, weighing the pros and cons of self-driven cars. It points out the costs tied to human driving, like accidents, animal collisions, and big bills. Chapter 2 is all about data - providing the numbers for the relevant arguments. It further highlights the current trends of human driving, observing how the younger generation isn’t as interested in owning/driving cars as the generations before. It suggests that the new generation is more into sharing and using eco-friendly transport.
