Abstract:
Analysis of mergers and acquisitions has always been one of the main directions of antimonopoly control in Russia aimed at preventing possible violations of antimonopoly laws by carefully analyzing the potential competition risks of proposed transactions. The new economic era requires the application of new approaches in M&A analysis. In order to increase the efficiency of the process of considering mergers, FAS uses various tools at the national and international levels. The chapter will focus on how the system to control M&A has been forming in Russia, as well as consider FAS recent experience, challenges, decisions, as well as methodological and tool base to consider transactions most effectively and operatively.
