Abstract:
The chapter examines the changes in economic policy and macroeconomic doctrines, following the 2008 finance industry crisis. Evidence regarding a lower natural rate of interests and an increased economic concentration in several segments of the American economy calls for a critical discussion regarding the causes and consequences of this new corporate landscape.
