Chapter 27 in Research Handbook on Measuring Poverty and Deprivation, 2023, pp 283-297 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The main aim of this chapter is to review cutting-edge research on the potential relationship between financial education and financial inclusion. To achieve this, we carry out a novel comprehensive review of the related literature. The relation between these two concepts has been studied mainly using national surveys and field experiments. From our review and discussion, we conclude that there is a positive relation between financial literacy and financial inclusion.
