Date of service
Vincent Richard
Chapter 13 in The European Service Regulation, 2023, pp 120-128 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter provides commentary on Article 13 of the Service Regulation (Reg. 2020/1784). Article 13 provides for two conflict of law rules to determine the date of service of documents. Such rules allow the parties and the court to determine the date upon which service is deemed to have been effected and thus to determine the starting point or the termination of a procedural time limit.
