Chapter 31 in The European Service Regulation, 2023, pp 267-285 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: This chapter provides commentary on Article 31 of the recast Regulation on the service of documents, which provides the necessary safeguards on the protection of personal data due mostly to the electronic infrastructure involved in cross-border service of documents. Article 31 also underscores the direct applicability of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in all types of cross-border service of documents.
