Chapter 13 in Teaching Sports Economics and Using Sports to Teach Economics, 2022, pp 200-207 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that can be used as a review tool or as part of formative assessment. Similar to other classroom response systems (clickers, Top Hat, Poll Everywhere), Kahoot! requires students to answer questions on a device rather than on paper. A Kahoot! game is similar to trivia games played in bars around the United States and offers a break from traditional classroom activities. Kahoot! games have been shown to increase student learning, engagement, preparation and attendance. The resource is available to educators and students at no cost and requires only an internet connected device.
